Mine arrived a few days back and I had no issue Installing it. I even "hot shorted" the chime connection based on instruction because I couldn't find the switch breaker for it. So far it works greet.
The transformer could be located in an attic, a basement, or right behind the chime box or even connected to the main electrical panel. It just needs a 120V power source. The transformers are usually designed to mount externally through a "knockout" to a junction box or electrical panel.
Also, the discount is gone so it's back to 44.99 OP.
I can't get up into the attic, myself, and I would rather not have to hire someone to do it, so I can keep this a simple project. I'd also prefer one that's part of a larger ecosystem, so I can expand later with a few security cameras and door/window contact sensors.
For those who already own this doorbell, are you happy with it? How is the Android app responsiveness when someone rings the doorbell or when it detects movement? Video resolution? The subscription fee for retaining videos seems reasonable. TIA

I have eufy wireless doorbells - they have an option to wire them, and wiring them insures that the batteries in them remain constantly charged. They also ring the existing analog chimes in my 1960s house. The voltage requirement is 8~24V.
The eufy doorbell is significantly more expensive though, at $120 AC:

IMO you'll need to locate the transformer to see what its output voltage is if you're going wired.
