I got a bunch of these last time for my garage gym, I should've listened to the comments. Not good for weight training like deadlifts or squats or rolling a bench on or under cage. Very squishy, great for impact, like stretching or maybe for kids to play on but not for lifting I found.

i got the harbor freight mats like this one and it works great for me. The only problem was , the small end piece keeps comming out of place , other then that it's been great lifting, dead lifting and bench pressing on it .

Sorry I got the 1" which was for sure to squishy, I'd guess 1/2 " would be less squishy. If you moving a bench around or lifting off of for sure 1" inch too squishy, maybe this would be ok, not sure. My bad, I went out and got stall mats again. No comparison if you are using for lifting. I wouldn't want to drop a heavy deadlift with 1/2 of very flimsy foam between me and concrete. My 2 cents

I have 1 inch version. I like it bc I paid next to nothing for it with that huge sale not too long ago but it looks cheap and is easily damaged from weights resting on it. It accomplishes what you want (its more comfortable than being on concrete or the hard floor) but those rubber mats (stall mats I think another person said) are better investments long term.

We just bought these in grey color to put under a 12' x 3' Intex above ground pool. Our yard is not completely even and even with prepping and a lot of raking there was always a pebble or acorn we would inevitably feel under the liner once we filled the pool the last three years. The pool fits perfectly on the 144 sq foot surface and it feels great. We paid $90 because we wanted the grey color to contrast with the dark blue replacement pool we bought this year (How 'bout them Cowboys??) I wish we'd bought these years ago when we put up our original pool. For $60, you can't go wrong.

I used used carpet that was headed for the land fill. (It was awsome)

Use these in my deer blind for flooring, quiet and easily replaced if chewed on if mice happen to get in. Also have put them on the inside walls of my 6x6 deer blind with liquid nail, blacks it out insulated a bit and helps with sound

I only ask bc my plan is I have stall Matt's to do squats and deadlifts. But given the coast the rest of the room was going to be these. So was curious if curls, benching, shoulder presses etc. would be okay on these. Guess I'll find out.

I have these and they work great for light use but for heavy weights I would stick with gym mats you kind of get what pay for with this type of flooring. Not saying these are bad they are great for nursery's and such but dead lifts are a lot of weight. My chair leaves imprints with flat feet on the chair. 🤷

I'm looking to do same - I might just put old carpet underneath tho. Did you put these on top of sand or straight on ground/tarp?

I plan to put these in the backyard on the ground where my kids play for both providing a cushion and prevent weeds from growing. Is this good for that purpose? Can this handle the bay area weather elements? Any other pros and cons ?
