Reciprocating saw with the proper attachment, will do your wife just fine
Heads up - Ryobi has just released the newer version of this battery - FVB03. It has 50% more runtime (3ah) and energy level indicator.
Now if Ryobi would just come out with a decent vibrator my wife would be set 🤔

I own a bunch of Ryobi 18v and 40v tools and have never seen these. They don't mention those numbers here, they don't say AA or 9v so can someone share what would these would be used for since it does not appear to be clear from the description or pics here or at the HD site.

I had your thoughts exactly. Apparently they have a line of lithium tools that use these. It was news to me as welln

It's a 4V 18650 type battery (custom/proprietary tho). They have a screwdriver, a rotary tool (dremel), a rotary cutter, and one or two other things so far I think. Probably some lights coming, etc.

They have a line of tools, dremel cutter glue gun etc. few others. They are replacing their older lithium tools that don't have replaceable batteries with these. I own a few of the new ones and like them quite a bit. Actually my wife took over most of them for her crafts.

It looks like USB rechargeable batteries to go with their new line of smaller USB Lithium 7.2V tools. This was news to me too. This line looks to mimic the B&D VPX Lithium 7.2V line from over 25 years ago. I still have my VPX set and still use it when you don't need large tools. The screwdriver is handy for electrical work.

Strongly urge you to update your title, OP. To clarify that these are Ryobi's 4v Lithium batteries, not the 18volt 2.0 Ah lithiums that most people are familiar with. A lot of people will be confused by this post as it's currently written.
