Has newegg gotten their "crap" together ? I was warned by others not to get a tv from them I have ordered CPU parts through beach / buy dig many times without an issue. Plus you have walmart backing you up a bit as it is through their website.
Personally, I prefer to go and get the TV in person, so I know where to take it back if I have a problem or just don't like it. (walmart, BB, Costco, sams ....).

They absolutely have not. Do yourself a huge favor and stay away from them.
Is the 5 year Geek Squad protection a worthwhile expense?
Years ago... it was a waste of money to purchase extended warranties for electronics.
BUT... nowadays it's wise specially for TVs. Since their factory warranties have been reduced to only one year.

Companies don't usually sell extended warranties they lose money on.
