We went and saw the Mario Bros movie in the theater last week and just for four it cost about $60, and two of them were kids tickets. I have paid more than that and got way more entertainment per dollar out of the Jackbox games. That's not a knock against the movie, more that the benchmark for value in video games is pretty crazy for some.

Are these games really worth this much?! Watching YouTube reviews they look like a lot of quickly thrown together mini games and doing some research it sounds like this company has been bought, chopped up and sold so many times its all over the place. There really needs to be a GOTY/Complete/Definitive Collection release of this title for something like $29 max!

You can also play along on Twitch with anybody streaming it (though there are notable delays with streaming) and it's a good way to try it to see if you'll like it.
If I had to give a personal recommendation...
Vol. 3 is our favorite pack due to the combination of Trivia Murder Party, Tee K.O., and Quiplash 2.
Vol 5 is a close second due to Mad Verse City, Split The Room, and the updated version of You Don't Know Jack.
Looking at all the other packs, there are at least 1 or 2 games that we avoid in each. I still stand by Vol. 1 is the worst in hindsight because the games we hate never came back, and the ones we love returned with new versions.

I finally picked up 8 & 9 and now I've got the entire set. No regrets on any of them. Some of the games aren't great, and some don't appeal to us, but each pack has at least a game or two we've played enough to get our money's worth at sale prices at least.
