Not going to lie, I purchased this many years ago, I was 19 or 20, and for a camp ground it was perfect, it also charged off the rvs 12volt effortlessly. It was also nice that it was super quiet. For a toy" it's pretty fun to have .
I have this. We bought this for my youngest brother, and it eventually got handed down to my kids. It's been in our family for nearly 15 years. We've had to replaces batteries a few times because they will eventually stop holding a charge. Other than that, this bike has held up very well against all the abuse of multiple kids in our family, and their friends.
My oldest is now 17 and he still rides it sometimes. So, I don't think they a 12 year old kid will mock his/her parents for getting this. Heck, I even ride it sometimes to go check mail.
Recommended age for this bike is 16+ but a 10-12 years old can ride it with supervision. This bike can move fast at around 15mph.

The videos show tiny bike. It says it's powerful but I think 12 year old 150lbs will be mocking the parents for getting this toy. I get it has strong motor, but every video shows 8-9 year olds.

My kids have learned from the smallest models to this yellow one. My son is 10 and now rides a 110cc dirt bike with ease.
My 8yr old daughter rides the yellow one now.
The bikes are great and run forever. I bought ours used on FB and they been rode for 3-4 years even though I bought them used.
I recommend.
