If your silicone seals start to stink, bake them. 30 minutes at 250 is long and hot enough. Should be relatively stink free once they cool off.

I've dropped mine on concrete and stuff a ton of times, and eventually broke the cap. Got a replacement cap, and haven't had any issues.
I have had the issue with the seals/gaskets absorbing smells like coffee, or mildewy smell from keeping water in the bottle too long. I see someone suggested baking them... Is that (food) safe?

I'd soak them in denture tablets overnight
