This has been one of my favorite xbox purchases. It looks nice, plain and simple. There's absolutely no question as to if the controller is on it correctly or if it's charging. I can place and grab it in the dark, without looking, never a hassle. Definitely lasts 8 hours, but I'm guessing 12ish? Usually, when it dies, I need the reminder to go touch grass anyway lol. Instead of having a cord and a flat controller that can get bumped and slide off of a shelf, this displays the controller, easy to grab and keeps it right where you left it. My only gripe is this should be 19.99. It's overpriced but it's the best at what it does, hands down. Way better than the Playstation brand ps5 controller charger, way better than the powerA charging stand for xbox, like night and day above both.

But yes you could just buy rechargeable batteries and a battery charger, sure

Why not get nice fast charger and USB cable for this price or cheaper and be able to charge more than a controller?

Rechargeable Ikea Ladda AA's are the way. They last much longer than these battery packs, and you don't have to work about forgetting to charge the controller, or putting it on the stand. I always have a few sets of batteries fully charged, so I just swap them out when they get low.

Can't argue w/ that - these stands are overpriced (def. at MSRP) for what they are. But.... visual aspect is a big selling point; they match the controllers. Even limited editions like the Forza controller are 1-to 1 w/ the Microsoft controller. I've got ~ a dozen of the stand/controller combos; try to find on eBay or Mercari for <$20 so I'm only being moderately ripped off what it is.

just in time, my controller notified me it would be dying lol

I think this is useful for it being a single-person charger in my office. If i have another setup for the living room, i'll get the other charger packs meant for a group.

Seems over priced, but maybe paying for the Razer brand. I have a cheap double controller docking/charging station that I paid $15 for at Best Buy (sale), and it works great.

I guess if you're solo a lot, and want to display your controller, it makes sense to buy this?

Doh - forgot about that, you're correct. Pins won't be compatible With this dock though, these all have the central located pins and the special battery cover replacement.
