I have a rm750x.

I'm trying to see if I can spend less and get by with 4k/60 med/high settings. Do you 6750xt is a good option for now?
Yes it is do-able with medium settings and FSR. Here, he tested a 6700XT VS 3070 VS 6800 on high/ultra with a 7700X @5.4 + 6000 CL32 + SAM enabled.

They said probably not but I did an online chat and they gave me the rebate form regardless.

Your mobo/cpu is OK to pair with this but you wouldn't get 100% performance since it's an older CPU and IIRC PCIe 3 on both mobo and cpu whereas the GPU is PCIe 4 so you'd lose a small amount of performance. Upgrading to something like Ryzen 5600 would be a near perfect pairing for 1080p/1440p gaming.

Main thing you need to check is your PSU and the recommended PSU each the specific GPU being considered. If you stick with mid-range CPUs, the recommended PSU should be great. There's a lot more that can be said about PSUs (efficiency, quality, age/degradation etc), but I've found that recommended PSU is generally correct and has a small buffer for cheaper PSUs.

Looks like it's about equal to 3060 TI

https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Com...vsm1845738 [userbenchmark.com]
I advise not relying on userbenchmark for anything as they're well known within the PC community for being Intel and NVIDIA shills. They were called out for changing their benchmarks and ranking criteria several times to benefit Intel, especially when the Ryzen series started gaining a lot of traction.

I recommend Hardware Unboxed on YT (Techspot is their website) or Techpowerup as some of the top hardware reviewers as they have extremely detailed reviews, especially for GPUs. Hardware Unboxed did a recent updated test of the RTX 3070 vs RX 6800 (16gb) since they're similarly priced in the US: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rh7kFgHe21k [youtube.com]

HW Unboxed and others have made it clear, major 2023 releases are often using more than 8gb of VRAM when maxed out at 1080p and even more frequently at 1440p. For someone buying a gaming GPU this year, I don't recommend the RTX 3060 Ti, RTX 3070/Ti to anyone unless heavily discounted since we have options like this 12gb RX 6750 XT at only $310. This isn't too surprising of a result but worth noting since the RTX 3070 generally beat the RX 6750 XT just slightly when both were reviewed (with older games at the time). Now that games targeted for the PS5 are rolling out in mass, 8gb of VRAM can be quite limiting moving forward.

Fwiw, I also benchmarked an RTX 3060 Ti and RX 5700 XT recently on 1080p ultrawide on recent games. I could only run Diablo 4 at medium without running out of VRAM, stuttering etc in many parts of the game.

I bought the same Gigabyte card. I am comforting myself by the fact I need 2 HDMI ports so this wouldn't work. Hell of a deal though.
lol, me too, trying to console myself that i paid $75 more but then i can use the $75 to buy a decent display port cable and still have some change left Big Grin

Medium 60? I think so. Vram might be a problem and decrease performance but since you're aiming for 60 that shouldn't matter anyways.

This card looks sweet. I was looking at the 6700xt on Amazon for about 300-350 about a month ago and this is better then that.
With new cards entering the market and seeing poor sales, existing cards have nowhere to go but down. Albeit like a feather... $10-$20 price drops
