Took me a minute to find, but NO DRAM. Also endurance is quite low at 900TBW. There are better drives within $15 of this price. Even MSI's own m470 2tb is SIGNIFICANTLY better for only slightly more: has 2GB DRAM cache, and 3300TBW endurance, buy that not this. This needs to reach $80 to make it a deal.

Bummer this is a rebate deal. I haven't done mail in rebate for a looong time. Not since the days when Fry's Electronics was still in business...

Odds are that someone that is considering this will likely put this drive in their PS5. DRAM isn't needed for storage in a PS5.

For the eventual, "Will this work with PS5" comment: Yes. It absolutely will. Sony only recommends a speed of 5,500 mb/s. They don't require it. Any Gen 4 will work. You won't notice any difference in speed between this and the stock SSD. Mine only has a speed of 3,600 and it loads and runs everything just as fast. Digit Foundry tested one with a speed of 3,200, and they got the same result. The PS5 will just have a one-time pop-up that tells you it may not be fast enough, but that's it. It doesn't affect anything. Just like every generation Sony over-promised on what this generation was going to be capable of. Not a single game uses the full bandwidth of SSD, and it's extremely unlikely any of them will for this whole generation. Especially considering we're over 2 years in, and there hasn't been any mention whatsoever of games taking advantage of higher speeds. Even if you have one with a speed of 7,000, it would only load games about 1 second faster than even my SSD, because games aren't programmed to use any of that speed. It's the same principle behind why most PS4 games still run at 30fps on PS5, even though it's powerful enough to run all of them at 60fps.

I didn't realize how blessed I was having two Microcenters and a Fry's all within 20 mins of each other from me in Chicago.

Any recommendations for a decent heatsink that will fit this in order to put it in a PS5?

Yeah, it did go out of business. I'm talking about the 20+ years that I did have a Fry's and 2 MCs near me and not appreciating that. I think Fry's went out of business in 2021 and it was kind of overnight. One day it was there and the next day they did not open their doors again, not even for some sort of fire sale.
