These look really similar to the ones Monoprice used to sell. I wonder if they're the same, just rebranded.

One thing I'd note is that, even though this comes with a propane adapter, a lot of these stoves don't handle the additional heat of propane particularly well. Stick to Iso-pro or at least turn down the valve if you decide to run pure propane.

They're not painted. I think it's likely the neoprene sleeve they use, which is weird, because every Jetboil I've ever seen has had the neoprene sleeve burned or melted too.

thanks for the heads up, i bought one in April 2021, applying for a refund now. Yes it does have neoprene sleeve which i always thought was kind of sketchy on it

Nowadays the cheapest Jetboil is usually like $95, and is 1/2L smaller than this.

I filed for a refund. I got a label and sent it back. I'm now battling with them for a refund. They claim they refunded my money but they did not. Keep an eye on the process. Save the tracking number to track your return. Good luck!
