Daylight is the best. Anything else should be illegal. Imagine trying to light up the outside and not try to make it as bright as day. Ludicrous. But I also do 5k inside. Anything else is sleepy and blurry.
I'm in the Bay Area, CA.

I do 5k outside and more like 3k inside. 5k inside is like you're living in an office building, but 5k outside actually means you can see better in the dark.
I dont have one of these lights. A few years ago I settled on another brand after a bad experience outfitting a shed with 360 degree motion lighting. As you can imagine buying 4x of a high end motion light gets expensive, so rather than buy the same lights I had on my house (which were like $50+/ea at the time) I went to a $30 model. They all died within a few weeks. So I've learned my lesson and go with the brand that's treated me well. Spending another $20 on a light beats having to replace it even if once, due to these things tending to be in places you need a ladder to access.

How easy is it to buy this and just replace it myself?

The only place I now use 5K or 6K "daylight" is in specific work areas for project work, which so far is only the garage and my office desk light.
Everything else warm light just feels more "homey" and less "Walmart".
