A 300mm bed slinger with a glass build plate that can do 150mm/s?

That's a lot of mass to push back and forth. It probably has terrible acceleration characteristics and it wouldn't do any better than an ender 3 at 60mm/s.

Confirmed, it's a wobbly mess:

From what I've been reading it seems like the "wobbly mess" is a super easy and cheap DIY fix. For $250 you just won't find another medium format printer with direct extruder, autoleveling, synced dual Z screws, probably something else that I can't remember off the top of my head. Oh yeah, supposedly crazy fast bed heat up. Nobody's saying it's better than the latest crop of the medium format printers, but it definitely was a year ago. It's probably not for the 1st time buyers, but it would make a perfect 2nd printer on the cheap.

Hi, DavidG4176
Thanks for your feedback, actually the speed might be similar, but this one can print 300x300x400 maximum. Ender does have a build volume limit and the direct extruder is also a plus. For any issues with the product, please feel free to contact us from "help center" of Geekbuying.com.Thanks for your shopping.

Speed is not an issue. There is almost no force involved with speed, only the friction of the motion system. Acceleration is what becomes a problem with higher mass.
However especially with Klipper you can also run decent accelerations on a Sidewinder X2.

I also own one and it's a great printer for that price. Direct drive, automatic print bed leveling, decent size etc.

I have it; I love it. I did go pei magnetic sheet. I've not addressed Z axis wobble, but as earlier poster mentioned, super easy to diy supports. I haven't had an issue with Z, though the tallest thing I've printed is probably only in the 100mm range.

I bought and returned an X1 that I bought before Christmas a few years ago and was able to play with until the Amazon extended return period neared ending. It did a lot of good things but I couldn't get the banding fixed (and couldn't make any structural changes with the open return period).

Are these greatly improved? It's quite a bit cheaper than a Voron type.

Seems like only 14 day return policy with buyer paying shipping (other than DOA)

Look at that! The ones and only, Geekbuying is in the house. One of the largest retailers of 3D printers in the world.

Glad to see you being active in the community. Knowing that you're going to see this I'm definitely going to be reviewing my shopping experience on your site and providing you with direct feedback.

I think most people don't feel comfortable with purchasing 3D printers from places other than Amazon, myself included, so let's see if it's a valid concern or not.

How are you attaching the PEI sheet to the bed?

Have never had z banding issues on my sidewinder x1. My largest complaint is that the 300 x300 bed size is not really all that usable. The bed is pretty cold where the bed leveling screws are mounted to the glass plate. Prints don't stick to the build plate in those areas. It's really sad that this issue was not fixed on the X2. I've contemplated buying an aluminum build plate to solve this problem.
