Ppl on Slickdeals are the ones trying to buy their discounted phones so they can trade it in for $1000 on AT&T

They're not here to make you money, so they're just protecting themselves

No. The ebay annual plan is a "BYOP type plan". Why don't one just buy an annual plan from the RedPocket website instead after the 3 months (rebate card)? RedPocket offers $5, $15, $20 and $30 per month plans on their website with their annual plans. The website monthly or annual service plan shouldn't make any difference.

What are RP's monthly taxes/fees? Some providers are higher than others.

I may not mind staying with RP for 12 months with the extra $100 rebate after 3 months.

It depends on your local taxes and fees. For me, the $20 plan is only showing 83 cents extra in taxes, but that will vary according to your area. You can go through the checkout process and it will show you.

Don't assume. This has been asked every time when RP is running a promotion. But they never gave a clear, official answer. I remembered asking a rep, and I was told that the SIM has to be staying in the same phone for 12 months. I don't think you can activate an Ebay plan on your existing SIM.

Thank you. Yes, that seems to be the best route to take. Will switch after I get my rebate to one of the lower plans offered on their website.

Thanks. After we've fulfilled the three month rebate requirement, can we then switch to an annual plan and have the phone unlocked after an additional 9 months (totaling 12 continuous months on RP)?
