Now there are a minority of companies that deceptively use the word ceramic, mineral, or rock while using a normal PTFE coating (Teflon) which is why they must say PTFE or PFAS free.
What's not good enough is when a pan just says PFOS & PFOA free as those aren't used anymore and have been replaced by other chemicals in the PFAS category.
And the 3 GreenPan pans that Consumer Reports has tested were rated either 4 or 5 out of 5 for non-stick food release and non-stick durability.
