No, they're not bad. If they say either PTFE or PFAS free, ceramic pans use a coating of silica to be nonstick

Now there are a minority of companies that deceptively use the word ceramic, mineral, or rock while using a normal PTFE coating (Teflon) which is why they must say PTFE or PFAS free.

What's not good enough is when a pan just says PFOS & PFOA free as those aren't used anymore and have been replaced by other chemicals in the PFAS category.

And the 3 GreenPan pans that Consumer Reports has tested were rated either 4 or 5 out of 5 for non-stick food release and non-stick durability.

FWIW, I have a set of these pots and pans that I use daily. I always hand wash and they've held up very well over 2 years so far

is ceramic bad for health? Any concerns? I would buy it but I've heard things so need to double check.

I have a greenpan ceramic wok I use almost daily but its non-stick performance leaves a lot to be desired. Pretty much have to use oil of some kind just like with stainless steel.

I gave up on supposed "non-stick" pans and switched to cast iron. Got them pre-seasoned and even as a vegetarian I've maintained that. I don't cook without oil or butter typically, but I probably could for some things. I make eggs and they just don't stick. I love my cast iron and it'll last forever Smilie

i have some nice Demeyere Industry Stainless Steel pans that I use for most of my cooking but am in need of a single pan for primarily cooking eggs in.

Can anyone recommend a healthy high quality non-stick(or some other material) that would allow me to cook eggs in and not have them stick?

I have these pans. It's a minor detail, but I really like that they don't have rivets on the inner cooking surface to hold the handle in place.

Had 2 sets and all the bottoms rusted. Handles get very hot and rivets are annoying.

While I dont have this same brand, I do have a ceramic non stick pan that I've been using for about years and so far it's help up well. I would not use metal utensils on it all though. Not sure why they say it's metal safe. You'll lose the non stick fast if you use metal. Plastic, wood, and silicone only is what I recommend.

Search your local TJ Maxx or Homegoods, they have the better quality models at the same price or better.
