I've had this refrigerator for a year. There is an issue with the design of freezer compartment. The drawer on the bottom extends further out then the rest of the selves. On top of the drawer is thin non-tempered glass. We had a piece of frozen meat slip off the upper shelf and it crashed thru that glass above the bottom drawer. It was a mess to clean up the shards of glass. This is not covered by the warranty. I didn't want to replace with the same cheap glass. Bought a sheet of 1/4" PVC plastic, and cut it to size.

Appliance repair has been my business for almost two decades. LG makes some good appliances just NOT refrigerators. Even with new r600 refrigerant their compressors are still failing at an alarming rate.

LG - Compressors stink. Learn from my mistake. I'll never buy LG or Samsung again.

Purchased one thinking LG learned their lesson from their compressor lawsuit a couple years ago. Also half of the top 10 refrigerators for 2023 were LG as rated by Consumer Reports.

no i just copied and pasted them from the product description because i was wondering myself; someone else said that this was the closed dimensions or something and that there was another set of dimensions listed further down on the page or something for when the doors are open

100% this. their linear compressors are not reliable. Both me and a friend had to have our compressors replaced after 5-6 years.

Can we stop posting these LG fridges until they're giving them away? Not slick at any price. Trash!

Does this start after the manufacture warranty? From my experience the nightmares start at around year 4-5.
That's what it said on the page, here's the image: https://content.syndigo.com/asset...fd/480.png

Year 1-2 is Costco and 3-5 is Allstate = 5 years total.

Any speak to fridge, But dehumidifier was bad. Only lasted two years. And the washing machine front loader water pump failed after 3 years. So not good experiences. Water pump is replaceable after you tear the machine apart. Good times.

No. Large appliances have a 90 day return policy through Costco. After that you have to go through the warranty process.

Also want to voice my distaste for LG appliances. Bought a fridge and washer dryer. The compressor went out on the fridge after 5 years, warranty expired and a new compressor was quoted at $1,100 after labor.

Both the washer and dryer started having issues after a few years, but they were at least cheaper repairs under $300.

Rotten food. Which is what you get when you least expect it with one of these craptastic refrigerators.

i believe you can replace the pump by lifting the washing machine and replacing it from underneath. i did that on my LG washer when i replaced the washer pump. took 15 mins end to end. (just need another person to spot you for safety and something to hold the washer at 40 degree angle)

If you live in the USA your best bet for reliability is a simple design fridge where the ice maker is in the freezer and not the refrigerator. I have a $400 Frigidaire with the freezer on top that just runs and a very expensive Samsung that needs constant maintenance and I've spent about $500 in parts fixing. Good luck!

Agreed, I had a simple Kenmore for 30 years and had no problem. Upgraded to a newer Kenmore.
