They charge $600 to come out and fix it though. The part is under warranty and not the refrigerator. Currently have this issue with an lg. after they fix it, they only guarantee the new compressor for 90days.

I just had a fridge delivered today from costco and can confirm they took away old fridge, included basic water line and filter. Did not have them hook up water line as the location of the new fridge has no water hookup

When can you get to the store? The sale lasts until 5/4. You could probably schedule the delivery way in advance so you have time to try it out and see if you like it.

This is a great deal but makes me wonder if costco or Samsung is taking a loss to reduce inventory ahead of a recession. I know it's more than Samsung but still... its weird. I was looking 5 days ago and they had the but more save more. Then 2 days later they added the spend more save more where over 2k hit you 500 back. And they stacked. Then the next day the spend more deal went to 600. I mean it got better every day... like targets weren't being met...

This has been my experience as well. We own three LG refrigerators. The compressor on one failed and was replaced under their extended compressor warranty. Apparently they had a quality issue with one of the suppliers of the compressors. That supplier no longer provides compressors. LG preemptively upped their compressor warranty on all their refrigerators to 5 yrs parts and labor. The other two refrigerators have had no issue since they were purchased 5 yrs ago

You've either never owned a Jeep, owned a SINGLE vehicle and ignorantly judged the entire brand, or are just terrible at vehicle upkeep. On my third Jeep now, a Grand Cherokee at 180k miles and runs like a top. Seems like your issue is one of owner, not vehicle. 🤷

For what it's worth it can also be a case of you being a charmed owner; all car experiences seem anecdotal, and people generalize their own experience to a whole brand.

However, for what it's worth, reputation from the service industry will always win for me, esp when combined with "quietly happy" owners. The most neutral example I can think of is my central air system. I chose Trane because it has a good reputation specifically from repair shops who make tier lists of brands.

I casually look at HVAC equipment when I'm stuck at another baby shower or birthday party, and whenever I see Trane or American Standard, I ask the owner about it...they all say the same thing. Absolutely nothing. No raves, no rants. It just...works.

If Ive ever heard as loud as an endorsement for something as I ever will, it would be that kind.

GE stoves seem to have this rep as well, as well as Fujitsu ductless units, LG washing machines, and liftmaster garage door openers.

The moment some proselytizes a brand, I get worried, lol. Sadly this applies to every single car brand.
