Question- do kids really play with these nerf guns? I have multiple kids parks in my area and I never see any kids having any nerf gun fights. And these parks are huge and are good for many type of age types.
I'm just curious.

I don't know where you're living, but I hope they do. As a kid, we used to buy airsoft toys and run around the neighborhood. They stung. This seems like it hurts less, and very possibly better for the environment (hopefully)

I'm in FL and you would think I would see this all the time over here. I go to this one park to shot hoops and play volleyball and they have many different types of playgrounds and I never see kids using them.
I guess the parents over here are skipping this first step and going straight to real shooting ranges.

I am so glad to see this deal posted here, because kids have been bugging me to get one and I have no idea which one to get, there are ones for $20 and there are $200 ones.

Kids play with this around here all the time, I hear the noise the motor makes and they just go around shooting each other. I think it also depends on what kind of gels you get, there are bunch of different ones.

Nerf makes few of these, not sure if it's much better quality than chinese no-brand ones.

You seem to know your stuff, how does this compare to other stuff on Amazon, there are a lot of no-name blasters that shoot these water gels.

Only in America. These are also probably the same as water beads, which are terrible for the environment. Nice!

According to most manufacturers these are environmentally friendly.
It's not up to you or me, 1 or 2 consumers to save the planet.
If it's really that bad then EPA should step in and ban those. If it's sold in stores, target, walmart, amazon, then maybe they are OK.

I own 3 of these from Christmas. Got 2 for my kids and 1 for me to shoot them. Also bought 2 more for my nephews. They are tons of fun and work really good for the money. Think paintball but cheaper and hurts less. The hopper system can sometimes have feed problems but this is pretty typical to hopper based systems if you think of things like paintball. You just learn to give it a little shake every once and a while. Comparing it to other guns, basically it performs about the same as some of the cheap no name ones, similar feed system and such but likely better built. If you compare it to bigger brands like splatrball it does not shoot as hard and far and the bigger brands also figured out the feed system problems with a auto feed cartridge but those are also 3x the price. I bought these on purpose compared to the ones that shoot harder since I am playing with my kids who are 11 and 13. Basically if it shoots harder then it hurts more which means more tears and they won't play. Also don't get me wrong these still hurt like crazy, if you get hit in the ear or hand it stings, also make sure you wear the glasses that come with it, you catch one in the eye you are screwed.
