YMMV...

...for me, nothing has ever come close (literally) to a smooth shave as Gillette razors. It has to be Gillette 3 blades or more for me. I can easily get a month or more out of a Gillette razor blade and I shave every day. I've been shaving for 20+ years (started in military boot camp) and I've tried a lot of different brands - again, nothing comes close to quality and durability of a Gillette.

I tried some 3 bladed BIC's a few months ago - by the third shave day, I was getting nicks and cuts.

But feel free to start your own thread with your double edge razor deals...some prefer that.

That's BS - and too often listed up here for Walgreens.
Luckily for me, my Walgreens are very efficient at doing online orders.
I'm usually told my order is ready for pickup within 15-20 mins after placing the order.
There so consistent, that I can place an order and start driving there, knowing that my order will be ready by the time I get there or right after arrival.

I also make sure to fill out the occasional survey about my pickup experience to let them know how "this store" is the BEST at fulfilling online orders and that they have the best staff working online orders. Managers love seeing comments like that - so I want the managers to keep posting the positives back on the bulletin board (you know they do) for the workers to see that someone is making positive comments about their store.

For those stores that are constantly cancelling orders, those stores need to be eviscerated in online survey's, pointing out how they too often just cancel orders for no known reason and that online ordering at that particular store is HELL and that Walgreens corporate should investigate the workers for not doing their job and losing sales.

No other stores in your area have them?

Keep watching throughout the week and maybe they'll come back in stock in one of your local stores.

You dont have to fill $10 for free pickup.
Here is the trick.
  • Add an expensive item into the cart and proceed to continue to checkout until you are in the review screen.
  • Open the cart in another browser tab. Remove the expensive item.
  • Go back to the original tab and continue checkout.
  • It will let you checkout with pickup with the expensive item removed

For a few dollars more on Amazon (or even your local drug store has some for a bit more) I'd recommend just getting a double edge razor. Refill blades are $10-$30 for a pack of 100. Each blade lasts around 3 to 5 shaves for a smooth clean shave. But you can go longer just not as comfortable. I just ordered a 30 pack of different variety blades to try for $6 or $7. Will get me 100 to 150 shaves. After the initial investment for a razor it's not that expensive to maintain.

All the stores are out of stock, which is unexpected. Thus surprising since this is only a decent deal. I'm just trying to use my WAG rewards before they expire.

Why has SlickDeals changed the price on my posting??

I posted the price at $10.47 using the $3 off coupon and 10% off for WAG10 or GET10.

Yet, SD has the price listed as $9.71. Is anyone else able to replicate the $9.71 price??

Because that's what they do.

By the way, most here have already exhausted Wag10 on multiple WG accounts. The only reason for me to do this would be to burn WG Cash. Making a new account for this won't do that.

But I've got enough free or heavily-discounted razors to shave a sasquatch.

Nice response and good info. By chance have you tried a double edge razor? I know there are different types of blades that are better than others. Some are a lot sharper then other which can end up giving a nicer shave or end up slicing up your face. Personally I can't go back to the 5 blade or disposable razors. But as you said YMMV. Just try different types. I haven't made my way to a straight edge razor blade yet. A bit intimidating. But one day I'll get there. But I'm happy now at the moment

I use DE razor 95% of the time and still would get on this - for travel and occasionally when I am in a rush, using Gillette is easier. I am not going to ship blades to the location I am going and usually travel with just a carryon.
