Thanks bought the bigger 360 count, everyone should be taking vitamin D3 even people who live in sunny climates have low D3 levels. Been buying this brand for years and it works well.

It's cheap, but you REALLY need to be taking K2 with a D3 supplement, which is why k2+d3 is typically comboed together in a single pill.

Vitamin D3 increases calcium absorption. Vitamin K2 assists in redirecting that absorbed calcium to the bones. Otherwise, there's a risk of calcium kidney stones formation.

Don't take my word for it, just google it. Or don't. Hope you don't get kidney stones i guess....

I've been taking D3 with K2 from Bronson Labs…it's about to run out and expensive…are all brands pretty much the same? If not, then I should do more research

Vitamin D warning: Too much can harm your heart
The study, which followed 132,000 patients at a Utah based medical center, found that the risk of newly developed atrial fibrillation jumped almost three-fold when blood levels of vitamin D were high.

fyi: from personal (perceived) experience...I don''t think there is a work around for pills that are way too high above the 600iu recommendation. That being said, for some in persistent darkness latitude, maybe a high dose recommended by your doctor may be appropriate. It's just not for me.
If you experience cardiac problems after taking, you will know where it came from.

Your second link doesn't work, and the first link describes an increase in risk based on vitamin D in blood, not based on any specific supplemental level. From all the information in the article, we don't even know if the study participants took any vitamin D supplement, it could be that they had an excess do to some unusual medical condition or due to diet.

Also, critically, the above article doesn't even mention magnesium or K2, which are very important to take in combination with vitamin D to make sure the calcium is absorbed by your bones and teeth. It would not surprise me at all if there were negative side effects to taking massive doses of D if you are magnesium and K2 deficient.

https://www.nature.com/articles/s...020-0558-y

If you read an actual medical journal such as the above, you would know that vitamin D deficiency is a very serious issue and has far worse side effects than too much vitamin D.

The only real way to know how much you need to take (if any) is to get a vitamin D blood test. It's less than $50 for the test. I need to take 5k-10k iu/day of D3 to stay in optimal levels, even being in the sun some. My wife on the other hand has perfect levels just from being in the sun and didn't need to take any at all.
