FYI the toner is expensive and if you use generic there are annoying error messages that constantly come up.

A reminder that BS will help identify the local pricing, but is completely broken for inventory. Use Wal-Mart to determine availability (presumably after verifying pricing via BS).

No duplex is a deal breaker. If you're going as far as a color laser you may as well go the last mile and get duplex printing and scanning unless you know for sure you'll never need them.

Just be careful of 3rd party sellers on walmart with low number of reviews. I have gotten scammed by them.

Watch that the printer truly is new and sealed and not some POS someone returned in a new box.

Yeah I got luck my Walmart clearanced the toner out at 25 a toners about a year back. Have a toner wall now. Hopefully it won't dry out

Laser printer toner is a powder. I don't think it can dry out any more than it already is...

Nah after market to ers are not too bad and prints as well as original. And I have yet to get an annoying message.

I used to have a Ricoh before and would refill the toner in the cartridge and replace the chip. Cheaper but definitely more annoying. The print quality of the Ricoh was superb but they pulled out of the personal/small business space. Thus I needed a printer dueing the pandemic and for lack of options at noninsane price i ended up with the cannon 644cdw.

The 644cdw and the 641 use the same cartridges. They have differences in quality and speed of printing but the issue isn't the toner or annoying messages. 🙄

Cannon is not as good as Ricoh or Brother on terms of print quality but the cannon is adequate for home use. And again the issue is not the cartridges.

Finally found one, about 50 minutes away, for this price. But agree with others that the lack of duplexing is a deal breaker. Plus no document feeder for multi-page scanning.

I have this model and works fine. However, as stated, no duplex or automatic feed which is a PIA. However, generic toner from eBay (4 pack around $45 for high yield)has worked fine for me
