That's true, 12-point adds a lot of flexibility and convenience, but I learned it the hard way that a 6-point is more handy and reliable for me: I stripped a side mounted over-fastened car battery nut with an 8mm 12-point hand wrench and it took me extra time to extract it from the confined space. I also did some research and found I was not alone: 12-points lean to strip nuts with moderate to high torques. So now, when I work on cars I use 6-point wrenches most of the time.

Thanks a lot, you got me to spend $55 on stuff I don't need, also bought the 135 piece set. The wrench set skips a lot of sizes, and is mostly smaller size wrenches, I never recall having to use a 6mm wrench.

6 point to break the stuff she 12 out to remove afterwards. If you already have wrench prolly it's wise to save for ratcheting or box wrench
