I have one I got for $50 from Lowes a few years ago. It's just too small for a charcoal grill to be of much use in my opinion.

Good deal if you looking for one and know how cook with a kamado (i.e. there is no two zone cooking, its either direct or indirect (if you also get the diffuser stone).

However it is tiny and if you can get it for $30-50 which has been in the past then you will be really happy.

If all this grill talk doesnt mean anything to you, get a cheap $20-$50 portable grill and see if you even like grilling at this size.

Bought this off the same deal last week, via Amazon. I normally cook with a 14" Weber, which is fine for 1-2 people, and it saves a lot of charcoal. I seasoned this new one yesterday and it seems really nice. I also purchased the indirect cooking stone with it. The stone is surprisingly a solid inch thick. The grill is still pretty heavy to not be ceramic. I think it's 33 lbs according to the specs. I plan to buy 1.5" conduit and make longer legs, as I saw someone else do in a Home Depot review.

I don't understand all the bad reviews for the handle installation. I installed one bracket of the handle loosely, put the wooden handle part in, then loosely attached the other bracket. I was able to tighten the screws with a multi-bit screwdriver just fine. I expected to have to dig out a little right angle screwdriver, but it wasn't needed at all. If you're assembling this, just put the screws for each piece in loosely, then tighten them before moving on the the next piece. Everything was quite simple. I thought I was missing the actual grill grate, but it turned out it was on the very bottom of the box, under the styrofoam.

It works fine for a family of four and I usually cook 4 thick steaks or a bunch of burgers. Just my opinion. By the way, can you tell me where I can find a deal on a time machine? hug

Not a good price. If you want one, grab one later on clearance. Should be $60... 🙄

Have owned one for years, for when I want charcoal. I have mine at human height, installed PVC pipe legs, painted black. No complaints, cooks fine for a average size family.

We have had a big green egg for years, yes, no zones, but you can lower the temperature by draft and cap, it can smoke things for hours. Cooking is definitely different but the results are good. A smoked turkey is great in these cookers.

This is just a bit small, my guess for camping for a couple. What happens you will want to smoke a full turkey, or cook a pizza. This thing can easily hit the 600 plus of a pizza oven, just no room.

I personal think the big green egg is over priced. The egg holds up well, but not the charcoal holder, or fire ring. They are like unfinished, unglazed Mexican fire chimney material. They crack, fall apart over and over $$$ to replace.

Not a fan of these. They are like Bige Green Egg and Kamodo Joe in shape only. They're not ceramic which makes them cheap but also practically disposable. Do not hold heat like the other two and are basically just cheap knockoffs/ look through FB marketplace and find a use KJ or BGE.

We've had the CharGriller for five years now and for two people it's perfect. Not only does it save on charcoal but the heat is easily regulated to provide the right temps for roasting, grilling or slow cooking. Although not big enough for turkeys, the grill can separately handle a 4 lb. spatchcocked chicken, five quarter-pound burgers or 2.5 pound picanha steak. For pizzas the grill easily reaches 500-600 degrees if you're looking for a reasonable char or Neapolitan style pizza. Highly recommend the heat deflector for roasting chicken and other heat sensitive products. The $20 to $60 prices are highly suspect.
