Do some searching on youtube for hexclad and you may not want hexclad. Essentially, they cut in that hex pattern in, apply the nonstick and then polish the nonstick coating off of the high spots. This makes it not actually nonstick. America's Test Kitchen did a test on hexclad and it failed miserably for nonstick. I have no dog in this fight, but was originally interested in hexclad and changed my mind.

I've had the version of this that's completely coated for 2 years now and they hold up VERY well. Probably my favorite pan set I've ever owned. It looks like they'll be good to go for years to come. Seriously considering the stainless set.

My only warning is don't stack these pans- the edges tend to get small scratches with they come into contact with each other.

Yeah the one poster saying they are great I laughed at. It's all over youtube how HORRIBLE hexclad pans are many call them a scam, but hey they're gordon ramsey's favorite pans ROFL

So the stacking is why my edges are peeing. Never stick, that's true, but the coating is starting to peel downwards on the lips on my pans. Was wondering why.

my old set also has this problem, i'm in for one of these sets. i think the stainless outside will treat the nonstick coating on the inside a little better when they are stacked. i also bought the little felt pads to put in between them. can't hurt.

I have the version that's completely coated as well, in two different sized pans. One is holding up well after a year and a half. The other is unusable. Everything sticks to it.

I don't have good luck with these. While they do last a bit longer than other brand I've used, they still peel after 1 year or so on the frying pans I've used often and ended up throwing them away. The pots I used less but I've noticed they started to peel too around the rim.
