I would recommend it if u have the time commitment/etc. We don't have perfect results, but several areas have no hairs or are much sparser (pale skin, dark hair). You're not supposed to use it above your cheekbones. And I don't believe you can use it on beards.

Powerwise, this model goes up to 6 Js I believe. Professional ones can go up to 20 Js. We started seeing results after a month/4 sessions. It isn't perfect (several areas wouldn't go away, etc.) but YMMV. Felt like more of a hair reduction method, not necessarily removal.

All of these at home IPL treatments have so many different reviews, some say it works amazing some say it does nothing. I'd imagine if they were as great as they are marketed every woman would have already done there legs and everyone else would hear about it. I know IPL works in a dermatology office, but they are using a radically stronger laser.

Bought it for my wife the last time it was on sale. I think she is at week 7 or 8, and she has gotten really good results with it using only the lowest setting. She has light skin with mainly black/dark red hair color but also has some blonde and brown hair mixed in.

Well you won't hear it from relatives and friends as removing hair successfully using this technique implies existence of excess hair which ladies don't want to admit or let others know about. I hear some "friends" used this success and are happy Wink

People in the reviews are talking about running out of a laser cartridge but not being able to find replacements... Can anyone who has this model comment on this? How much do these laser cartridges cost and after how many treatments do you need to replace them?

The strength of the laser has little to do with the result.
Whether you use professional laser, IPL, or home machine, you will need continual treatments.

I have both IPL and laser. The IPL could burn larger area, Tria laser burns much smaller area. After a few treatments hairs come out again so I gave up. if you do, i would recommend the laser version.

I have a Bisiden and it worked very quickly on my legs. Hair growth stopped for about 6-8 months after 4 or 5 treatments and was slower for long after that. It's been a few years and I'm just noticing that I need to shave more often, so I'm going to be doing it again. It wasn't as effective on courser body hair though. I do have to admit though, I wasn't as good about sticking with it because it could get a little uncomfortable.

adding that I have very pale skin so had better odds of it working.

They do work, but they hurt.

They take repeated sessions to make a lasting impact, like with most personal improvement things, people want instant results with little effort.
