I know they SAY it cannot be recalibrated but it can be. See the sticker about half way down the stem ? That's covering calibration screw to the click spring. They don't want you to mess with it so easier for them to say it cannot be calibrated. Just think about it, if it cannot be calibrated, how did they calibrate it to begin with ? But in all reality, unless your using that torque wrench several times a day you will never get it to drift so much it is beyond the 5% of acceptable accuracy. If your that concerned about it, get a load cell torque wrench also called digital torque wrench, those things are spot on and to my limited experience, never drifted on me.

Honestly the harbor freight torque wrenches are a great value. For 10 bucks you can't beat them (again for a value torque wrench). Anyone looking for some basic lug nut and caliper bracket bolt torquing just get the 10 dollar HF one.

Made in Taiwan.

Cannot be recalibrated.

One review says the cheaper one broke after first use.

Rewards Coupons will not work. Grrr.

I have the 1/2in version and it's really good quality for the price. I have nothing bad to say about it.

These are junk. Had the 1/2 one and stopped working unexpectedly, causing me to over torque the nut I was working on. Ended up costing me 3x what I paid for it.

In this case it means nothing. There's no indication of accuracy on the package. Torque wrenches are rated as % of full scale. A 100 lb ft wrench with 5% accuracy means + or - 5 ft lb. At a 25 ft lb setting that means 20-30 ft lbs or about 50% off of accurate. That's why you don't want to use a wrench rated for way more than the setting you need.
A 5% accuracy at 25 ft/lbs is +/- 1.25 ft/lbs.

Junk. Might as well get the $10 ones at HF when they're on sale. I have 5 of each

Good to know. Guess things has changes as I have one I bought back in 1988 and used to calibrate it myself at work.

Why does the listing hide the most important spec?

The ones for 20ish bucks? Or the icon ones?

I just warranty returned my HF $10 torque wrench from 2018. No questions asked. I plan on getting an ICON. With these unless you are a mechanic, get them from HF.
