My wife took professional charutery board classes, this is not a board she would approve due to the little wood board space compared to the ceramic comtainers.

While I like a good spread of meats and cheeses my best friend loves this sorta over the top stuff with the separate little bowls and stuff. This exact board has been on my idea list for months for him AND his birthday is in just a few weeks. Perfect timing!

I spent last couple of weeks looking for these. IMHO you want something with more space as well as flexibility to set up more or less without the board looking sparsely done or too crowded. For a similar price point, try this one, and you get a lot more value with additional side trays and ceramic platters. There's a 20% off coupon on the page (listing is not related to me in any way):

Multiple side trays help you to expand as needed.

This Smirly brand seems to make multiple styles at different price points and has highest number of reviews among those.

Moving tray in the originally listed deal with one side joint worries me more than a pull out tray from under the main tray. My 2c.

I'm sure this takes years of training at like Golden Coral to learn the art of putting stuff out.

I actually bought this item back in the fall for my wife. Her novice skills have made some pretty nice presentations with it.

I paid $43 for this in November. I love it! (but a little bit less now that I know I overpaid)
PS - the ceramic containers are obviously removable so there's plenty of space. Containers don't need to be ON the board for serving.
