I use mine every day. Don't knock it just because you don't know how to use it.

An air fryer has a heating coil 5 inches away from the food and a powerful fan behind it that blasts whatever youre cooking with the heat in a small, concentrated space. Toaster ovens, at least the one i have, have a fan that circulates air around the oven compartment, but not directed at the food. Its the difference of a fan blasting in your face, and a ceiling fan.

I can very easily burn or crisp the surface of chicken, steak and other types of meat in an air fryer, but have never been able to do that in a toaster oven, it just isnt strong enough. The concentrated heat makes a big difference, so much so that i prefer using my air fryer to my grill. The results are very similar and its just much easier to get going.

Note though that not all air fryers are the same. Ive used the gourmia one and its not very good.

It's literally one of the most useful appliances of the last 20 years.

PFOA's are detectible in the average American's blood. I'm holding out for a unit with a stainless steel basket, and so should you.
Item description says "Dishwasher-safe and PFOA-free non-stick cooking pan and crisping tray."

We have the 6-Quart and love it. If you do meal-prep or just want extras for lunch/dinner than the upgrade is worth it.

Bought this too. Already have a digital air fryer at townhouse and a analog air fryer at the house. Don't care for the analog one. Cheap upgrade for $30.

I use my digital air fryer quite often to cook chicken, pork chops, wings, french fries, egg rolls, etc.

I love my analog dial air fryer. Does anybody actually use the different digital options? I use my air fryer like I use my microwave on at full power and off. I don't even use the timer so it's even more basic than my microwave. If there was an instant on at high temp for 5 minutes button I would love this. But most of these digital ones require 3-4 button pushes to get on at full power. I know, first world problems, but still.
Yes. For instance broil is handy for finishing a dish.

Serious question: I have a toaster oven with convection....is this air fryer going to be any different?
America's Test Kitchen has a video [youtube.com] on why they prefer drawer style air fryer over oven/tray style and flip-top style, plus a lot of insights and tips on usage. Also, models with square trays (like this Bella) have more useful space than round trays if you cook larger food pieces.

I know people who have and prefer the oven style so they don't need to keep 2-3 appliances (toaster oven, slot toaster, air fryer). They mostly use it to reheat stuff that doesn't splatter or drip everywhere so the oven style's difficulty of cleaning is not a major concern. They lay aluminum foil on the bottom surface as drip catcher, and on the rack itself (for messy food).

I got this the last time it was here. Lasted about 2 months. The coil inside somehow opened up and smoke was coming out from the back. I thought it was just food that got stuck up there but when I checked, the coils had a few cracks on it. Glad I was there when this happened. I usually start the air fryer and leave to do something else.

Can you please advise if 8Qt makes sense, or 6Qt is more than enough for you?

I have a question I'm hoping somebody can answer. I have an analog Chefman airfryer. I believe after I cooked bacon in it, the oil went down below the tray and the lining at the bottom started peeling. I started using aluminum foil after that. Is it still safe to use the air fryer? Food doesn't come in contact with the bottom of the tray.

Isn't that essentially what it does when it's running? I finish things in mine with the basic on setting all the time. Does the fan not run in that mode? That would be cool for things you don't want flying off like slices of cheese. I usually just melt it on my burger with the unit still hot but off and door closed.

I've got an air fryer kinda like that.
foil should work alright in the Bella Pro Series air fryer.
But there's a couple things you gotta keep in mind. Line the bottom with foil or stick some foil down to the pan. That way your food won't touch the pan directly, makes cleaning up a whole lot easier.
Only thing is, don't seal up the air fryer completely. You need the air moving around in there.
