Picked up a 1TB 670p for $53 in the last Black Friday sale. I love, it's a perfectly B+ SSD at a great price, and now I'm kicking myself over this deal

Not interested in buying one, but went through the process and it seemed to work properly, along with the code giving $5 off.

It's a reasonable priced i.e. priced where all Gen3 NVMe SSDs ought to be at right now, given that PCIe 3.0 is obsolete. But this Intel particular series has comically bad TBW of just 370 TB.

It's price is also a good indication of just how far prices have dropped. The 670p was introduced more than two years ago at an MSRP of $329.00. Now it's already less than seventy-five bucks.
This is 2TB with 740 TBW.

Though QLC, but it equips with 256MB DRAM and Sequential Speed R3500/ W2700. 5 years warranty and 740TB TBW.
It is more than enough for a daily PC. Probably couldn't find a better and cheaper one from a reputed brand.

I am using it to store terabytes of sensor collected data that is then read often by other applications. 370 TBW is plenty since for my needs, it's write once and read a gazillion times. Reads have no impact on TBW. Plus since it's from Intel, 370 TBW is most likely a conservative estimate.

Intel will continue to manufacture NAND wafers at SK hynix's Dalian memory manufacturing facility and retain certain IP related to the manufacture and design of NAND flash wafers until the final closing of the transaction. The final closing is expected to occur in or after March 2025, when SK hynix will acquire from Intel the remaining NAND business assets, including certain IP related to the manufacture and design of NAND flash wafers, R&D employees and the Dalian fab workforce, for US$2 billion.

not just because it's PCIe 3.0, but mainly because it's made of QLC NAND.
I'd stay away form QLC any time.
I bought (2) 1 TB KingSpec SSDs for $68 and can run them in RAID array which is one reason two is better than one. I happen to be using mine in two different individual PCs though.

740 TBW for a 2TB SSD is still terrible. It should be close to double that.
