Don't buy this model if there will be wind. I thought it's be good for skateboarding but it flops in the wind very easily. The phone acts like a sail and directly torques the motors, because of the weird new way they positioned them. I returned it and bought the older model instead and the way the motors are positioned differently prevents the phone from torquing them and it works in the wind. Just FYI.

Andriod users beware ... From early 2021, DJI has discontinued support for their apps including DJI Fly, DJI Mimo and more on the Google Play Store. Unfortunately for Android users, this means that you are no longer able to download DJI apps via the Google Play Store.

Just ordered one for my Pixel 7. Never had a gimbal, so this will help me decide if it is worth the investment. I have to find a way to place it in my car too.

Would it work if hung upside down?

I've used every one of these since the OM3. In my personal opinion it's worth it to spend the extra to get the OM6 over the 4. Or even the OM5. The addition of the built in selfie stick really is that big of a game changer. Besides the fact that It actually fits in your pocket when folded and has a larger phone mount that properly holds your phone with a case on it so that when you smack it into a wall while getting that cool shot you don't need a new phone. Also in my experience it seamed like the OM4 had less powerful motors. Don't get me wrong I liked the OM4 it was a good gimbal, I just feel like the OM5 and the OM6 are just that much better.

Newer expensive phones come with camera stabilizers so this will be redundant, if you have an older phone, it will give you jitter free videos even when you are walking.
