New case design is easier to get the bits out... but this is kind of a "buy now, ask questions later" price.

Back before impact drivers were so common/powerful? lol

These are among the better bits you can buy, here a conclusion from Project Farm on one of his bit testing vids: https://youtu.be/6-xOHQTT5tw?t=701

Personally, I've been using them for years and I have never had one break on me... I cannot say the same for other brands I've used.

What was it about these cases? I thought I remember reading these are the older style and they are being clearanced out for the newer ones that fit into larger cases?

Can anyone speak to the quality of these bits?

It is amazing that nowadays you will see multiple bits of the same size in a kit. I remember when a drill bit set came with one bit per size, since you didn't anticipate them breaking.

So they sent the Philips head as free samples along with some shirts and hats a year ago or so.

The bits are meh… didn't last that long. They get the job done but I was expecting better quality for milwaukee

Thanks OP, got 1. Now... why do real men keep using/buying these impact drill bits if/when they break, instead of buying a drill and drill bits? Convenience?

Hex bit drill bits are awesome with the installation driver. But more so for convenience and versatility between driver and drill.

It lets you do everything with only one tool. If I'm drilling something, I'm probably also going to be driving something shortly, and driving with a drill is not a thing you really are that excited to do after trying an impact.

Plus it's so much faster to change bits.

Same. I do handy man work. When I walk into the house with a satchel and my driver and can use it to drill/drive /screw it saves me time and looks cleaner than hauling out more tools. I have a drill for larger jobs, but the convenience of the impact driver has been game changing over the last ten years.

Thanks, in for 2 to restock and probably replace my larger, old generation reverse-folding clasp bit cases.
