I'm 0 for 2 on Hard Drives from NewEgg IN (edit) the last year. Both arrived very poorly packaged (there was padding along side the drive, but not protecting it), and damaged. The original drive was damaged, and wouldn't format on MacOS, and the replacement drive was also dented, and problematic.
I no longer buy Hard Drives from Newegg. I would recommend you do not either. Good price though.
Compatibility
Designed with CMR technology for medium or large-sized businesses in RAID-optimized NAS systems with up to 24 bays. Perfect for archiving, sharing and handling high-intensity workloads.
I purchased hard drives off Newegg like 6 time the past year and only 1 time it wasn't packaged right. The hard drive has some scrubs and it failed pre-clear from Unraid so I RMA it and they send me a new one. Still better than Amazon based on my past purchases.

Great price on a 16Tb (anything under $15/Tb is solid), but I'm not ordering from NewEgg. WD has pretty good sales around the holidays so hopefully we'll see an 18Tb hit $250 or less.
