My QN90B, mostly pictures of how the light smearing works... even with less bright lights like my computer monitor, gaming pc led's, etc. Also included a photo that shows major blooming in HDR streaming content in black bars, looks almost as bad in person. So underwhelmed by this tv... between the smearing, blooming, and dimming issues. Was much happier with my $500 Vizio lol. Selling it at a loss and buying an LG.

If these aren't going to be issues for you, great! Get the tv then. I just wish I had seen pictures like this before buying.

The TV is beautiful and punchy but unless you plan to have this in a room with no lights or windows then I would avoid.

The rainbow effect when any light hits the tv is unbearable. Tried to convince myself to buy it but I couldn't get past this. I suggest you all go see this in person before buying.

Curiosity question for folks - the 75" QN90B @ $1400 + tax or a 75" QN850B for $1800 + tax w/5 year warranty from Sam's. What would you choose? I ran across a 75" QN850B over the weekend that was the last non-display unit at a Sam's for $1799.91. Is it worth the $400 premium when you look at feature difference and warranty?

I'd look into connecting an Apple TV 4K or similar streaming device. Tizen OS is horrible. It's slow and buggy. Even switching inputs is more tedious than it needs to be. My Apple TV 4K turns the TV on and off through HDMI CEC.

I haven't looked into 8K sets because the content isn't there. There were a few Sony sets that allowed 8K YouTube through the internal app, but that's still compressed. I'd go with the bigger 75" TV. It's a possibility that 8K won't be widely adapter in the next five years. Samsung isn't the best when it comes to terms of upscaling low bit rate content either. Maybe someone else who owns the QN850B can chime in on how it is, but my opinion is coming from someone who has owned/used multiple 4K sets since 2015. Good luck!

The whole UI seems like a piece of garbage. Initially it would not recognize my Apple TV - but did a hard reset and it managed to recognize on the reset. One thing that is good is that the remote automatically handles common functions of the Apple TV. And the volume button was non- intuitive.

I had the exact same experience with my S95B and QN90B. I went to "Connected Devices" in the OS, and I manually set the Apple TV 4K input to Home Theater - Apple, and it worked fine without having to factory reset the TV. It's super annoying. I had something similar happen with my Xbox Series S when my wife and I set up our S95B. I tried to force restart the Xbox, power cycle it and everything. The only way I was able to get it to work was to swap the ends of the HDMI cable. Just super weird. I'm glad it's working now.

Your comment about upscaling is one of my largest questions (concerns?) about the set. Decisions, decisions.... will probably see what Memorial Day brings, if anything, to the table and decide from there.

No doubt! Upscaling is important if you're watching sub 4K content. I don't know if cable providers have the option or bandwidth to broadcast 4K content. I haven't subscribed to cable in years so I'm out of touch. My wife and I consistently watch streaming content - Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max etc. 4K HDR content should look fantastic on either set. Sony has the best upscaling in the TV market, but they're also more expensive. I'd definitely see what deals are available on Memorial Day and go from there. Good luck!

I was able to place an order at 1400 yesterday, but it took considerable effort. Samsung website is super glitchy and it was getting stuck at a near-blank screen on all desktop browsers after I tried accessing it from my employee perks website from work. The exact same link worked fine from iphone (Edge browser) and I was able to place the order. I was also able to get 2-year Samsung Care included for free by chatting with customer service and asking them to sweeten the deal.

I bought the 85" QN90B coming from a 65" Hisense U8G. I wanted the S95B but was kind of scared of first Gen tech, & then the $1609 deal came around & I couldn't resist the 85" QN90B. I was less than impressed initially…basically anything that isn't a 4K youtube video or video game looks subpar, but as I've been tweaking it more & more I'm making peace with it…

Since you have both, can you give some perspective on how much better the S95B is? Obviously the 85" vs. 65" factor means sub 4K content looks worse because it's blown up more in size, that has taken some getting used to when watching sports, 1080p YouTube etc.
