It has been decent for our oldest but we use it as a standalone device and it's incredibly difficult to use. I had originally bought the galaxy watch 3 and had owntracks pushing location info to my home assistant but that app didnt work for 4 since they moved to google apps or something. I think the apple watch tracking and usability will be much easier and i am guessing the battery will be as good or better.

Been using the bigger GPS version that was on sale for 140 at staples last year, no complaints. I really can't think of a reason you'd need a faster processor or anything, not like anything on a watch is that intensive.
