The way I do is, by adding an item to cart at ace hardware thru Capital One Shopping app and don't buy it. Randomly after a day or two, it pops up as exclusive deal of 30% discount on everything at ace. If others have tried any other way, please let us know.

For price comparison sake:

- The trimmer is the ST1502SA. Best Price: $135~ (inc. 2.5 Ah)
- The blower is the LB5300. Best Price: $89 (Tool Only)
- So for $5 more, and with far less hassle than those YMMV deals, you're getting a 4 Ah battery.

I do want to caution to ignore the trimmer's current individual price ($179); since that price is objectively silly. Nobody is going to pay $179 for a ST1502SA when for just $200 you can get a ST1511T which is a substantially better trimmer. This looks like textbook "Decoy Pricing" wherein they're using the ST1502SA's price to promote the ST1511T's price. A fair, non-hot deal, price would be roughly $150 w/2.5 Ah battery for the ST1502SA.
Not bad, but definitely register products (everything including the battery and charger + tools) and submit receipt in order to get any warranty services someday. Having a manufacturing date on each does not grant you warranty services.

OP, this is not an "online only" price, as stated in your post. It is the advertised Ace sale price in store as well, and it is for the entire month of May.

What if you don't register them, but have receipt with a date within the warranty period? Will Ego help you?

Legally you do NOT have to register a product in order for a warranty to be in effect.

But practically, manufacturers aren't really going to get in trouble if they make the warranty hard to claim.

4ah battery would be heavy.

amazing deal tho, getting blower 4 free practically

Yeah. I use a 2.5 for trimmer and blower, and 7.5 for mower. I go as light as possible for tools I have to suspend above ground with my hands.

There's a few Ego tools that I forgot to register and they still honored their warranty. If they mention anything about a receipt, you tell them that you received the tool as a gift. I've done it a few times and had no issues with warranty repair/replacement.

I just picked up the 650 blower deal. Is this a better deal even if the blower is a little less powerful?
Edit: I got this deal.
