What I don't understand is why they don't make these in smaller portions for those who don't need such a large quantity, for they have shorter hair or need smaller area touch up. I have to do it in smaller quantities in a tray, and sometimes I put the color or the solution more than the other, and one runs out quicker or I don't use in correct amount of both at a time, and it just gives different result. Also, I have realized, once open and saved for future use renders it's efficacy lower due to air mix.

bottle under pressure dispenses both ingredients together, says can use contents on 3 separate occasions (or 4, in my case). i was so curious how does this magic work, i opened an empty can - there are 2 bags - one with dye, one with developer - with a "straw" in each (likely to control flow) - and it's some propellant gas around them that squeezes them with same pressure

Don't screw in the comb to the tube; keep them separate. What you do is squeeze small amounts of cream on to the comb teeth and brush on to your roots. This way, you only get to use what you need. You can then reseal the tube for later use. You can also use it on your beard if they're long enough.
