You can control the level of suction. And these robot vacs aren't getting as powerful as the corded ones. I can follow my S7 MaxV with my corded Dyson and get more dirt/dog hair off the rugs every time. Gotta balance performance and battery life.
Good sale for new but I'd get a refurbished unit from their eBay listing instead. Cheaper, longer 3rd party warranty, and still pretty much new (from my experience with an S4 several years ago).
After trying the S7 MaxV Plus, we were waiting for the S8 Plus for the dual brushes (also have Rooma J7+ for second floor, which cleans will buy navigation and battery life aren't great). Unimpressed by the camera ai avoidance from the S7 MaxV (kids toys and other stuff), so tempted to just go with the regular S7+ when the sub-$500 eBay sale comes back.
How often does this "sub-$500 eBay sale" come around?
My S5 max is four years old. At year two it was having trouble with charging if I have it clean the entire house daily. I broke up the cleaning to rooms one day and common areas another, and that seemed to solve the charging problem. Now it's really loud.
I tried taking it apart to see if I can somehow clean the system but that got too complicated so I bought an S6 to supplement. The noise difference between the 6 and 5 max are noticeable. The battery still holds charge. Just wondering if it's time to replace the 5 max
You can buy a new battery off of Ali Express. I did this and runs good as new on my XiaoMi
My almost 2-year-old S4 Max has decided it no longer wants to connect to wifi. I've emailed support and tried all their suggestions. I'd love to think they might offer me some kind of warranty support but I bought it new from Amazon so it only had a 1-year warranty on it.
If I buy one of the models without a self-emptying dock, is it possible to buy that separately later?

Yep, they sell the docks standalone. Maybe not the same savings as the bundle though

Thanks. I just hadn't planned on spending $700 or $800 on a vacuum this month. Probably going to get a refurb S7 Max from eBay now and will get the dock later on. I had to vacuum the old-fashioned way this weekend and it was no fun!

Yeah it's great. There are a lot of options but that gives you many choices to pick the one that fits your needs the best. We have an original S4, which is great, but the auto-empty bin is great with our German Shepherd. The Ultra, I've heard, is amazing but still more than I want to spend. The S-series is nice in that the mop can raise even if detects carpets versus the Q-series or even other brands that do two separate runs.

I see its $539 in ebay refurb. do you think you have much lower this?
I'm not interested in the mop feature. I think it's just unreliable. So I'm looking at the Q5+ but I need to look over the new products that were just released. I heard the smarts got a lot better.
I got the s7 solely for the mopping feature. I am not disappoint.

Also, do you guys think the Self-Empty Dock is necessary? Or the mopping feature is better?
Thanks.
