This great pair of outdoor/bookshelf speakers seem to go on sale at Best Buy every 2 months. I bought these in March and the sound is really powerful when linked to an amp with sufficient power to drive these. I purchased a Bluetooth wireless amp from Amazon to go with these and the sound is great and the volume will make your ears ring (if you choose to turn the volume up that high. They sound great at normal volume, as well). No hum or static at high volumes.
BTW... It doesn't say it online, but they are 8-ohm speakers. I used 16 gauge copper speaker wire for 25' distance and it's fine, though 14 guage would probably be optimum. Also, if you use copper-clad aluminum wire, rather than pure copper wire, use a lower gauge wire (12 or 14 gauge). The connectors on the back of the speakers will accept bare wire or banana plugs. Do yourself a favor and use plugs. They're not expensive, are easy to put on and give a more secure connection.

This is the bluetooth amp that I bought to drive the speakers in this deal. You can save a few bucks getting used/like new from Amazon Warehouse. Sufficient power to drive these speakers. Good bluetooth connection, can accept a USB Flash Drive (will play what's on the flash drive sequentially, as it can't shuffle from a flash drive). It also has a subwoofer output jack on the back.
Definitely want to use straight banana plugs for this unit. I used 90-degree plugs for the speakers.Warning: If you choose to get a different Bluetooth amp than the one I posted, make sure it has similar or greater watts/channel. You won't get good performance from these speakers if you use an amp with only 50 watts/channel.

One more thing... The mounts that come with these speakers come with an optional piece that lets you attach the speaker mounts to the kind of weatherproof cover you can screw an outdoor lighting fixture into. It made things so much easier. It also allows you to easily rotate the speakers between horizontal and vertical positions, should you want to do so. These mounting plates are also dirt cheap. You just need to pick up the right size machine screws to attach them to the side of your house. I got the screws at Home Depot. Bring a plate to HD and get the thickest 2" screw that will fit in the hole. Here is the 2-pack of mounting plates:

These are the three way speakers. The two way are $50 and occasionally cheaper.
I own two pair, one pair has been outside for ten years and still going strong
Are these 3-way? The title on BB's site says 2-way

Actually, no they are 2-way

Even though the OP states he owns these speakers, interested individuals should always do their own research. Any number of variables could occur and I don't see how any of these would be HIS fault. It's pretty audacious for you to make assumptions.

Just like if I were to assume that someone with a name like 'dealfinder' would be a valued contributor to SD, yet a quick glance at your history shows you've started zero threads. See, it would have been wrong of me to make assumptions. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Anyone know how these compare to the Klipsch KHO-7. Got them at Sams for $75 as well. I'm not too familiar with audio specs. Any help is appreciated.

FYI, the owner's manual lists these as 6 ohm speakers with 87dB sensitivity so they will need a little oomph if you want to drive them loud, but most modern receivers and amps should still have no problem powering these.

Just from looking at the spec sheets, it's a 5.25" woofer vs 6.5" in the Yamahas so you can expect less bass / higher frequency cut off vs the Yamahas. The Klipsch are also 8 ohms with higher sensitivity so they'll be easier to drive to high volume with less amp power. Unless you plan to play them really loud, that probably won't really matter. I haven't heard either one, so can't comment on how they actually sound.

Thank You. I don't plan on listening to them at loud volumes. But, I'll look to see if I can return the Klipsch and get these.

On the fence, was previously looking at these Klipsch AW-525. Looking for "decent" bass....

I read it off the back of the speaker before I hung them. I remember them being 8 ohm, but a brain fart is always possible.

Yes, but if it is not enough for you, you can always hook up a subwoofer if you get an amp with a sub out.

Some stores may still have it in stock. YMMV

Saw this deal and immediately ordered it. Best Buy sent me a confirmation email. Just checked my email and Best Buy canceled my order and said out of stock. What the hell happened here?

I recently bought multiple pairs of the 150's and one set of the 350's after I bought the 150's because I was a little underwhelmed with the 150's.

In the end I kept one pair of each and here is why:

The 350's sound substantially better than the 150's, are more efficient and can certainly play louder if you want/need that. They sound like a proper speaker should. The negative with them for me is that they are bigger than the 150's (they are not gigantic) and so there can be fit and esthetic issues depending on your situation.

While the 150's did not sound as good, I was able to tuck one pair of them under an eve pointed down and you can barely see them. They work great as background music speakers.

If space is not an issue, get the 350's and for the price difference between the two, it's a no brainer.

The brackets and speakers seem to be really well made too.
