Thanks buddy, it's perfect timing. Looking for one to cut the floor - quarter inch plywood near the cabinet and wall sanding.

This is the brushed version. Normally brushed vs. brushless wouldn't matter a lot to many users, but if you pull up reviews on the non-add-in packaged version bare tool, you'll find this brushed version has more complaints of failure compared to the brushless. But both are significantly more 1 star "it died" negative feedback than other brand name multi tools on the HD site.

Also, the Ryobi branded blades are really high priced normally but not really worth it. You can get much better branded ones for longevity, or if you want the cheap stuff like these, you can get a significantly larger quantity online with different profiles/cutting abilities.

That said, this combined is not a bad deal from HD especially compared to the normal bare tool price, other than for the rather negative reviews on the tool itself for quick failure.

This looks like a new pattern of HD offering "package" deals with an add-in consumable like this (or sandpaper for sanders). Perhaps a way of competing against DTO's prices on "Factory Blemished" without having the identical SKU that causes a dip in the bare tool "regular" price that DTO ends up adjusting their price for which they do weekly to run their constant "40%/50%" off sales now off inflated pricing.

And making odd cuts and strange angles... Like when you fix a drawer, but attached to much wood in the back. But you dont want to disassemble it to cut. Use this tool to make specific cuts, with the wood in place. Its like the tool a doctor uses to remove a cast. But this one could definitely hurt skin. Or making cuts of something super close to a flush surface.
