Definitely heavy, but the 26 quarts is the interior measure. Think of it as whatever would fit in a 5 gallon bucket (20 quarts) plus about 1/3 a bucket extra. The exterior dimensions are much larger though.

I'm not sure what this actually means. It's got exactly the capacity advertised.

I have one. Compared to other rotomolded coolers with a similar capacity, this is actually a small cooler. The whole thing is thinner than other 25l coolers I've used, and easier to haul. Conversely, because the walls are relatively thin and light, it doesn't keep cool quite as long. You're really trading some insulation for portability. It's still an upgrade over most cheap-o coolers, and probably good enough for most situations.

I have a friend with a Yeti cooler similar to this and his complaint is that it doesn't have a drain (this cooler does). While both colors look the same when I change colors, I ordered the greystone one. If you'd told me a few years ago that I would ever pay $50 for a cooler, I'd have laughed at you

bought this on sale at walmart.

things to note: it's heavy and because of the insulation, the interior space is reduced

that's what i meant, the exterior is much larger than i expected. it's just deceiving if you're not used to these types of coolers. i never really paid attention to size labels (XX qt) as much in the past given that i've only bought traditional coolers. so if this is someone's first time buying this type of cooler, they'll want to take note of the exterior dimensions vs capacity because it'll take a lot more space than what they're used to compared to a regular cooler.

These are decent coolers. I have one of the older ones without the drain plug and I like that size. I'll take it on the boat or places where I don't know the cooler might get beat up. But for day trips, lighter coolers are always better. These heavy coolers are good for longer trips and places where I have the cooler on the back of a trailer, boat or truck and I don't strap it down they don't get tossed and lost like I've had other coolers do before. And I like that they can get beat up and drop and fall without cracking

Got the older one with the rubber t-handle [amazon.com] instead of the plastic on this newer one. Brought the old one on a national park trip and it kept ice on our food for 2-3 days before needing to be changed out. Used the new model on a similar trip a year or two ago to similar success. They're highly durable, and $50 is a great price in my book for the dependability. Wish I could get the plastic clips on mine instead.

The two colors look identical. Does anyone have one of these and knows what the actual colors are?

A google search shows that the "Greystone" is the darker grey that's pictured and "Gray" is a lighter grey (think color of concrete).

I have an older version of this bought in 2020. Used it for a cross country drive in the bed of a truck during summer. Bag of ice kept things cold for 2-3 days. I use it on the boat now and like the plastic clips and drain they have added. This seems like a good price. I think I paid ~$80 at the time.

Why would you want plastic vs rubber? The rubber will certainly outlast the plastic clips, which have mechanical fail points.
