I have the CD player slot version of this. It really has strong magnets. My wife even liked it and got one for her car. Make sure you have a magsafe case. You can't use a case which doesn't have magnets. It won't hold your phone up.

I picked this one up last June. My only complaint was the fixed direction of the air vent when attached. Took it out of my personal vehicle and put it in my work truck, on the passenger vent, and it's not an issue for me anymore. Works great. Holds on very well.

I have a magsafe wallet so I'm not sure if this would be a good idea for that. Would be a pain to have to take the wallet off, put it somewhere, put phone on that holder, take off, put wallet back on and then basically have to repeat whenever getting in and out of the vehicle.

Okay I got this one. For 12 bucks it is a good price. Not the best price. I thought it could charge but it doesn't. It's just a magnet. It is definitely not worth 37 bucks. I think at 8:00 to $10 it would be the right price.

In regards to what it contains, is really good. Two rings soft rubberized, it gives you a mounting guide for the rings on non-mag safe phones. The latching mechanism for the vents are good. I've had other latching mechanisms friction fit one for magnets. It's usually strong and comes off every time you pull it. So this hook style mechanism works perfectly without any fear of the holder coming loose overtime. All in all 12 bucks is good. 10 bucks will be better

I loved mine until it broke. The magnet is very strong. The center post is the weak link. Filter the reviews for the word "broke". There are pictures that show where many have broken. Tip: Avoid rotating it around the post as you adjust. Just rotate around the ball joint on the end for your adjustments. It should still give you adequate adjustment angles.

Keep in mind that with this version, your phone is attached directly to the vent. While the one I got like the OP, you can twist that extended arm away from the vent to place your phone not direct where your vent is.

I had a few that kept falling off of the AC vents sending my phone tumbling. Got this and it had a hook so it hasn't budged and the magnet is much stronger than any of the previous ones I've purchased. Definitely recommend.
