I have only done higher end gaming laptops for the past decade and last years AMD Legion 5 Pro is by far the best laptop I have ever owned. I know this one will likely run a bit warmed and have worse battery life because of the I7, but from a build quality and screen perspective it's hard to beat the Legion series at this price point.
I am beteween this and the rog whit 3070 ti the rog cost 1499 which is better?
I want the laptop for gaming and video editing doe tik tok mostly
I may be wrong, but HDR mode usually lowers brightness. I'd do research on HDR for this particular laptop, but honestly haven't seen many gaming monitors and panels that do a great job with it.
ROG laptops are of good quality, but Legions are considered top tier when it comes to quality and value. Think you would be hard pressed to find a better laptop than the pro without spending significantly more money. I have last year's Legion Pro and love it.

I dkn the 500 nits got me π«is the only think i want
I've had this in my cart for a week along with the 4TB Crucial M.2 SSD for extra storage. Would be the absolute perfect creator laptop configuration (with ability to game some) at a very good price. Would've jumped on this right away if I didn't have 3 kids in college this fall. Still thinking about throwing caution to the wind and paying this over 12 months with my Payboo card.
I've been out of the pc/laptop game for a while now ( still rocking an i7-6700k)
My son is going to college this year but he's also a gamer.
Can I buy an external drive and put all his games on that and he can pull from that at home while using this for college while he's away?
He's not cutting edge gaming but he wants a nice experience, will this fit the bill?
TIA
