Seems like a good deal but can't find much on this. Seems like it's only sold at Walmart and all reviews were part of a promotion. Anyone have insight?

Cannot speak for this product. But as far as Bissell corded vacs, I have nothing but respect. I just hate cords. My Bissell Powerclean Rewind is almost 10 years old and never had any problems.

The power head on my shark navigator just died and while the rest of the vacuum works, we really need the brush roll to work because of our dog. I can't find a replacement power head for our specific model and if I could find one, it would be as much or more than this entire vacuum. So for now, I'll buy this and give it a shot. 90 day return period on it so if something fails it'll go back.

Ebay/fb market. Grab a used one with good head. Easy swap and you'll have spares and a backup. Done it before and has worked well. Even found them for free. Doesn't work or broken on a Shark usually just means it needs to be disassembled and cleaned properly. So many people throw them out when they just haven't been maintenanced. Surprised the Shark even died. We've had a navigator for 10, well almost 15 years now actually and still runs like a champ. Their corded vacs are kind of unbeatable for the price and longevity. I know people who only buy them used they are that good.

Yeah ours is 7 years old and the power head died. By that I mean the actual motor burnt out and caught fire. Not the belt. It's still intact and on the gears fine. The motor started humming and melted the plastic.

Mine isn't an as common model apparently so it's hard to even find the model used. The only parts I can find are the generic parts that are cross model like belts, hoses, attachments, etc.

Here is my verdict, with my comparison being in relation to my old Shark Navigator Professional Deluxe limited edition model that we got as a wedding gift in 2016. The powerhead died on it and they don't sell replacements. (Bed Bath and Beyond exclusive, baby!).
  • This vacuum sucks (pro).
  • The vacuum is very light compared to the shark, making steering difficult (it wants to slide across the carpet straight instead of turn in the direction I leaned it)(con)
  • This vacuum has a huge dust canister (pro), but the dust canister locking interface/mechanism to put it back on the base is lackluster and clunky (con).
  • This vacuum has 3 attachments with one being a combo brush/crevice tool (pro) But they feel cheap. (con)
  • This vacuum is cheap cost but seems worth it after first using it (pro). However, the entire thing feels cheap and unstable (con). When standing upright, it leans a bit due to how loose the swivel is.
  • This vacuum is very quiet while still having good suction (pro).
  • This vacuum doesn't have headlights (con).
  • This vacuum doesn't have liftaway (con).
  • This vacuum does have detatchable hose for attachments and reaching high places, with better reach than my shark had. (pro)
  • This vacuum comes with a filter installed and a separate febreeze infused one on the box. My kids liked the smell it gives off while using it.

Overall, the vacuum is good for the money based on my first time use review of it. I will definitely miss my shark because it was built like a tank in comparison, much heavier, much more stable, etc., but at about a 3rd the cost of my shark, this will be just fine for our use. We only have one rug and one floor that is carpeted in our new house compared to the old one.
