Less cores than a desktop 4070 Ti. Low memory bandwidth as well. Substantially lower power limit too. This thing will perform about as well as a desktop 3080 12GB (NON-Ti). At $2250, buyers remorse will hit harder than a Decepticon in about 3-6 months.
No... no it won't. And it's faster than a 3080, especially when you factor DLSS3.

A very popular cashback site is offering 15% right now!
If they don't charge my card until the end of June, will I still get the 15%?

I believe so, it's based on the invoice date not the shipping date.. keep a screen shot and your order number just in case. They've manually added the rebate for me before

That's a lot of video card to try and keep cool in a laptop.
The power supply on the laptop is 380 watts. That's crazy for a laptop. I wonder if it has like 20min of battery time?

The graphics card basically goes into limp mode. Far below its plugged in capabilities.

Nah. People buying laptops for gaming or high end compute know they are always behind the top end desktop builds, its ALWAYS been this way. 3-6 months from now there wont even be a new desktop or laptop GPU in this segment.

You're 100% correct. Laptops with discrete graphics have ALWAYS been several steps slower than the desktop version with the same nomenclature. I had one as far back as 2003...same shit...different year. It's sad that you even have to point this out.

So when someone just HAS to say "It's not as fast as a 4080 desktop". It's the "well actually guyth" type of person. You know that guy? It's like, no shit sherlock. Acting like it's some sort of revelation.

Just a heads up: The 2023 model had made significant compromises from the 2022 model.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

Yes.

SD cashback is a joke. They can list any percent they want, to make it look good, but it always caps at $100.

"As a member of Cashback Rewards, you'll earn 12% Cashback on eligible online purchases at Lenovo! Cashback earnings not to exceed $100 per order."

12% should be like $258 back…

15% cb at the other popular site is $322.50 cash back… Plus Lenovo has discounts for students and military, plus other codes…

$2092.50 after id.me discount at checkout

$2218.05 after taxes (6%) and shipping

Total is $1778.63 after 15% cb based on $2092.50 purchase price.

Seems really good to me.
