Any particular reason for recommending the MSI Pro MB over the Asus Strix MB?

Nice to be able to plug a monitor straight into your mobo if something's not working right or something is wrong with your video card. Gives you time to RMA or buy a replacement if you still depend on your computer for day-to-day non-gaming use.
Also down the road makes the CPU more useful when it is no longer a high-performer. An i7 isn't necessary, but what if you want to rotate this chip into a Plex server or something similar (or sell it to someone who does) down the road? A 5 year old intel CPU isn't that useful to someone who is looking for gaming performance, but it is still very useful for general productivity/server type use where discrete graphics isn't required and onboard video is a plus.
I'm looking to upgrade my plex box with a 10th gen or newer intel CPU right now and -F chips are a non-starter. Wish I could rotate my desktop cpu/mobo into my HTPC and kill 2 birds with one stone.
