I received my 6a from Metro and can confirm that it won't work with TMobile sim out of the box. I've tested with my T-Mobile sim card and couldn't get services.

I would eat the additional net $10 to avoid all that crap and get a new number. No AF, $20 cheaper plan. Authorized dealers are 90% scammers.

So I have both A54 and S21FE. I just played with both more today and must say, if not considering battery, s21FE is just better in almost every aspect. Thinner bazels, more responsive fingerprint sensor, better/juicer colors and viewing angles, better camera, mega super-duper stereo speakers (A54 also has good ones but s21 has better ones). I had Pixel7 and honestly, I hated the screen. Had terrible headaches just from staring at P7, so I assume with P6a it would be the same (if not worse). Therefore, if you have extra $50 and want some decent camera and overall smooth experience go with s21fe, but if battery really meters go with a54. However, if you just want the cheapest option and like making photos, go with P6a. Just my 2 cents

Anyone else getting this error when trying to purchase online?

"Please contact us to complete your order.

You are barred from doing it for some reason only known to T-mobile.

Try another computer or phone, another location, different browser, different address or credit card.

I got the same error until yesterday. I tried it with a different device and was able to place the order successfully just now.

Any brave soul want to try a non-Metro sim the very first time you get this phone? I am curious if it is really unlocked then locked when they put in the Metro sim lol
this has been discussed numerous times.
for M, most, if not ALL phones will be locked to M, regardless of what sim u put in it first.

some select old phones will work w TM from D1.
even those phones are getting rare

I actually think I can use the 1 month of service on my trip to Canada (my current operator doesn't have service there, and it seems that I can add Canada coverage to the Metro line for $5). BUT! My trip is only in mid-August. Does anyone know -- what am I risking by delaying the initial activation until then? The wiki says I need to activate within 30 days, but what would happen if I activate in, say, 80 days after placing the order?

Is this worth sitting in a drawer for 6 months?
The phone doesn't care, but I sure don't want to sit in a drawer for 6 months.

I read in the comments on another deal about a website that kept your information private when doing things like pre-paid phone deals. I just got burned hard by spectrum so I'm super interested in keeping all my information private and just paying what I need to. Does anyone know what I'm talking about or remember that website?

Phone auto-activates in 10 days regardless.

Order cancelled because "we couldn't verify your information. Please visit a store". Also charged my credit card. Ridiculous.

Can I get this and just use the SIM/plan for another unlocked phone instead of the 6a? I'm looking to get my family who are visiting from overseas a T-mobile (or MVNO) phone plan since only they have the supported 5G bands for their phones. I plan to use the 6a for my AT&T plan after it unlocks.

When did you place the order? Hope it's not next day cancellation.
