Very true. I was working at a sporting goods store when the running version came out. We couldn't keep them on the shelves. They were incredibly unique and surprisingly comfortable.

The Huarache 2K4 is an absolute legend among hoop players. I just wish I had customized a pair through NikeID when they came back around 6-8 years ago. Hopefully we'll see them brought back again, though my hoop playing days are likely limited at this point.

Good memories, thanks for the reminder about the original inspiration for them. Ignore the room temperature IQ crew and their comments. Cheers!

They still have a good story to appreciate. Inspired by Mexican sandals and water skiing, but initially enjoyed by marathon runners. The comfort/performance/color options took off more so with the basketball versions worn by Kobe, Pippen, Fab 5, etc.

I thought they were ugly until I got an all white pair and I love it so much it became good looking. Love is blind I guess lol.

Edit: The White/Smoke Grey/Comet Blue/Anthracite look kinda fire, not gonna lie.

I own a pair of these and just want to reemphasize that these run SMALL. My regular shoe size is 12-12.5 and I had to get these in size 14 for them to fit perfectly.
