Shame because Newegg had near Costco-level support and service at one point in time. Unsurprisingly after it was bought by a Chinese company in 2016 it quickly went to shit.

Just a heads up, 55" is shipped and sold by Newegg. Incase you don't deal business with them.

G is way better than C series? I read the comparison on rtings and they indicated minimal difference. Can you help point me to the "way better" analysis or support for that conclusion? Thanks!

Well, the G3 apparently is better than the C3, as a new design that's brighter.

Isnt this normal sell prize? The 65" would be $1200 if there is one. I seen it a few times.

Same with 65". I will never buy a TV online again, too much hassle if something goes wrong, I would buy online from Walmart if I had the option to return to store myself. Newegg is terrible though.

Maybe not 'way' better, but it does have a couple of advantages. G2 includes a panel heatsink the C2 doesn't have that allows it to be pushed slightly harder, and as mentioned the G2 has a 5 year warranty on the panel. As you probably already know, the G2 doesn't normally come with a stand(includes a wall mount). I think there is/was a Costco deal that included it though.

Do you guys think return to store the for 55 inch is safe since it's Walmart? Or is this bad if there is a chance of bad panel?

G series are brighter. But the c series's is what is used for the benchmark for tv shows.

Youtube videos say they are the same but then you seea few that talk about how the g series does highlights better. Im starting to lean more and more towards the g now as they say it's one of the better game modes out t here. I just wish it came iwth a stand as I don't trust myself wall mounting. I was going to do that with my last TV. I had the stud finder and all that but chickened out lol

I have tried for a price match with Best Buy - Here is what I got

I see that the (Walmart) is not selling this product on their website, it is being sold by a third-party seller: (Newegg Inc.), as we will not be able to validate the authenticity and manufacturer's warranty coverage for the products sold by them, this price match request would fall outside our price match policy.

The G series wall mounting is easier than it looks, with or without finding a stud.

I wall mount all my TVs personally (at least with family and/or friends), and the G1 turned out to be the simplest unexpectedly. It's also the most flush and gorgeous looking on the wall and picture quality wise too. Mine is a 55" which I just needed help to lift it on the supplied bracket, but everything before that I did myself. Didn't need to find the studs as they weren't in the most convenient spots so I just used drywall anchors, as I usually do. Approaching a year, and tons of compliments how it looks on my bedroom wall, and it still hanging as strong and beautiful as ever. Wife disagreed initially with the purchase but with all the compliments from friends and the picture quality that even she has noticed over the high quality plasma it replaced, she's now happy.

I have both, and although both have incredible pictures, the G1 just seems to have that finer detail and sparkle. Plus, on the wall, if mounted with the supplied wall mount, it just looks like a more refined and expensive TV over the C1.

Along with the extra warranty, if I was in the market for these two tvs again and the G series was just a couple hundred dollars difference, I'd hold out for the G series. That's just my humble opinion after owning both almost a year now.
