Nice find, thanks OP! While these say pompano rig they work great as all-around high-low rigs for a variety of species. I find the small floats help keep the crabs off your bait.

I saw this before it got to the front page, and thought about it, but they're fairly easy to tie for pennies on the dollar. I used to tie 20 - 30 of them in an hour or so during slow times in the tackle shop I worked at. We had about 10 cents in them and sold them for $1.99 if I remember correctly. The T-knot takes a little practice, but there are tons of YouTube videos on it. The 2/0 hook is a little big for pomps IMO. I would scale down to a #1.

Agreed. I travel to the beach and tend to want to maximize my time so for $2 I don't mind buying the rig pre-made. Tying them is a skill that if done quickly I am quite envious of.

I'm with ya. I thought about grabbing some just for that reason. It would take me a while to tie one now, as I'm out of practice, but it's like riding a bike. After one or two they don't take long at all.
