Perfect timing on this. The wife had been plugging in her older MacBook constantly to be able to use it and last night it finally didn't even hold a charge from night to morning with it just being off.
I would rather save the 300-500$ and upgrade earlier than planned.
By the way...SW Denver store had 15 when I called earlier today and picked one up so they should have a lot left. The did not have the laptop on display but they did have the tag around the newer M2 models that were on display.
I did some research online, and it seems that M1 Pro with 16/512 also having the same "downgrading" as the M2 8/256...
